Frequently Asked Questions Sheet
Listed below are the top 10 questions most often asked about our
service. We have compiled this list for two reasons. First – to help you choose the best cleaning company to fit your
needs. Second- to help you get the most out of your clean should you choose to use Distinguished Images, LLC.
Q-What should I do before the maids arrive?
A- Don’t
stay up all night cleaning your house before the maids arrive! Yes, it has happened. Remember our maids are there to clean
– you don’t need to be embarrassed about the dirt they might find. But
keep in mind that we do not open drawers, closets or cabinets; therefore, just putting away any clutter you may have will
make your clean far more efficient.
Q-When is my payment due?
A- Payment is
due at the time of service. Please place your payment on the kitchen counter for the maids to take when they are finished.
If you plan to pay at the end of the service please be available prior to the completion of the job. Keep in mind the maids most likely have another job waiting.
Q-Do I need to be home for my service?
A- Not at all
– in fact, many clients prefer not to be home. All employees are bonded
and insured. Many clients like to meet the maids to let them in before they leave,
others leave a key with our office, somewhere outside, or leave it unlocked and the maids secure the home when they depart.
If you choose to be at home, many clients prefer to pick a room to work, read, or watch T.V. If this is your choice, you may
ask the maids to either clean it first or to let you know when they need to enter that room to clean it prior to the end of
your service. Again, keep in mind that they most likely have another job waiting and need to have all rooms available for
cleaning at some point during your specified clean time.
Q-Do I have to pay if I cancel my clean?
A- No. However,
dispatching a team to your house costs money in the form of employee wages and transportation; therefore, please try and call
at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment whenever possible.
Q-Do I need to supply cleaners and equipment?
A- No. We arrive
with all the supplies and equipment necessary. Many products are unscented or low scented. However, if you have your own special
cleaner or equipment that you would like us to use just let the maids know. OSHA requires that all chemicals used must be
in the original package and all directions and precautions readable. Also, we are not allowed to mix any chemicals.
Q-What if my service doesn’t meet my expectations?
A- We guarantee
our work. Please call the office within 24 hours and we will return to correct
any problems at no extra charge.
Q-Will I always have the same team?
A- Due to illness
or necessary personal time off it is not always possible to send the same team. We do make every effort to have one individual
of the team who has cleaned your home before. Many clients enjoy having different teams; sometimes it is nice to have new
teams who can see your home with a fresh pair of eyes.
Q-Do you do windows?
A- Yes. Although
it is not included in your service, there is a separate charge for windows. Our insurance does not allow us to do outside
windows above the first floor. All other windows can be done both inside and outside. This service also includes cleaning
the window track.
Q-Is the inside of the oven and refrigerator included with my service?
A- No. Please
feel free to call the office to have the additional time scheduled, either for an initial deep clean, or for any regular maintenance
clean. Keep in mind that if you have a self cleaning oven you will need to turn it on no later than the night before to let
it run its course. They generally take 3 to 4 hours plus cool down time and we may not be scheduled to be at your home for
that amount of time. Also, freezers will not be cleaned unless defrosted prior to your cleaning.
Q-Will I ever need another Deep Clean, and if so when?
A- Yes. Our
maids will do a great job keeping the house up from service to service but they will not have time to do a deep clean during
a regular service time. The time between deep cleans will very according to personal preference. Many enjoy a once a year
“Spring Clean” although it can be done at any time. We suggest you do it no later then one year from your first
clean date.
Q-What makes a professional service better than” the girl next door”?
A- We provide
a hassle free dependable service by covering the costs of workman’s comp, unemployment, and by conducting background
checks. Each of our maids are professionally trained, bonded, fully insured, and drug tested.
